Study: Onecall Recruitment LTD
The Brief: Requirement to be able to share
files, access the Internet, send/receive internal and
external e-mail. All users need to be able to send faxes
from their desktop. Remote laptop users need to be able
to access files and e-mail from home or on the road.
They need the system to be secure and reliable with
minimum user intervention.
The
Solution: We installed 10 new client computers
running Windows 2000 and a Microsoft Small Business
Server 2000.
The
Result: All clients can access broadband internet
quickly and securely thanks to Microsoft ISA server
firewall.
E-mail
is delivered to the relevant user, i.e. sales@onecall.co.uk
is delivered to the sales staff.
Faxes
are sent directly from the users desktop, through the
server, and queued in priority order. Incoming and outgoing
faxes are stored and can be accessed at any time.
Files
are easily accessed and secured with individual folders
and a company wide area that everyone can share.
Remote
users simply connect to the internet and then into the
server from anywhere in the world! They can then access
their files and e-mail. Onecall's Ipswitch branch office
is also connected to the server so that users can be
in either office and access their e-mails/files.
Backup
is daily onto 40Gb tapes and is fully self monitoring;
if the backup fails it will e-mail our engineers.
Virus
protection is automatically updated on the server daily
and distributed to all client PCs.
Total
Support: 80% of problems are resolved remotely,
our engineers can actually control the PC in front of
you and fix any problems.
